Feeling kinda restless tonight
Just woke you up to say that
I really appreciate you.

When your running says you love me
And I hear the door swing
Open; it is your footsteps
And I know it is you.

I wake up sleepy, and
Fall asleep very much awake
Darling, this is your doing.
This is how you made me.

Darling, the words you choke
Are the words I touch
You should have more faith
In yourself; in your handiwork.

If I die, right now
It wouldn’t make a difference, love.
I’ll just be asleep, my eyes
Not open than usual.

But Darling
If you die, I shall
Cut you up and wake
You; there are things I need to hear.

Brilliant metaphor.

And the end is beautiful. In a weird sort of way.

Put it into a tune. I bet it'd make a good song~~~
I love the theme of "waking". You have a way with words. Have I ever told you that?

There are only two poems I'm very proud of. This, and a poem I made back when we still had misanthroposdotnet. I think I'll go find it right now. XD
